Sushi, robata grill and crafted cocktails on Voltaire Road, served seven nights a week since 2001.
clapham · sw4
A Japanese restaurant in Clapham, drawing locals and Londoners to Voltaire Road for sushi, robata and cocktails since 2001.
Five minutes from Clapham Common tube. Open seven days from Wednesday, weekend lunch from twelve.

the food
Sushi, sashimi, robata.
A short, deliberate menu built around the day's catch and the binchotan grill. The miso-cured black cod has been a fixture since 2001. The wagyu and the sashimi platters get most of the press, but the bao and the tempura are why locals come back.
the bar
Cocktails, sake, the back wall of whisky.
The Lychee Rose Martini is the quiet best-seller. Old fashioneds are smoked over cherrywood at the table. The sake list runs from everyday Akashi-Tai to vintage Dassai daiginjo, and the Japanese whisky shelf rewards the curious.
